The ministry now known as Guatemala For The Nations (G4N) traces its roots back to the faithful work of Southern Baptist missionary Ted Lindwall, who served in Guatemala for over 40 years. Before retiring in 2004, Ted developed a close ministry partnership with Carlos as they traveled throughout the country sharing the Gospel, discipling believers, and strengthening local churches.

At the time, Carlos was a successful businessman in Guatemala City, but God had given him a growing passion for reaching people with the message of Jesus Christ. Recognizing Carlos's heart for ministry and leadership, Ted challenged him to continue the work after his retirement.

Carlos faithfully accepted that calling. Over the years, he has built strong relationships with pastors, churches, schools, and mission teams from the United States. Through his vision and leadership, opportunities to share the Gospel have expanded into public schools across Guatemala and now into neighboring countries including Honduras, Nicaragua, Mexico, and Cuba.

Today, Carlos serves as the President of GOZO Y PAZ, G4N's ministry partner in Guatemala. He is the driving force behind much of what happens on the ground. From organizing mission trips and coordinating school and church schedules to overseeing the printing and distribution of Bible books and managing construction projects, Carlos ensures every detail is handled with excellence.

Beyond his organizational gifts, Carlos has a servant's heart and an unwavering commitment to the Gospel. His greatest passion is seeing children reached with God's Word through public schools and equipping pastors to faithfully shepherd their congregations. His wisdom, integrity, and love for Christ have opened countless doors for ministry throughout Central America.

Anyone who has served alongside Carlos also knows he has another important role—keeping mission teams healthy! He's quick to offer advice about what foods to enjoy, what to avoid, and which drinks are safest. His concern for every team member reflects the same care and hospitality he shows in every area of ministry.
